PE Group provides SPCC Plans in response to regulations codified in 40 CFR 112, Oil Pollution Prevention. Our staff will inspect aboveground storage tanks (ASTs), spill containment measures, underground storage tanks (USTs), leak detection and monitoring, and reviews existing site Contingency Plans and SPCC plans if any.
Based upon the latest amendments, only SPCC plans for larger facilities must be certified by a registered Professional Engineer. SPCC Plans will address the following three areas: · Operating procedures that prevent oil spills · Control measures installed to prevent a spill from reaching navigable waters · Countermeasures to contain, clean up, and mitigate the effects of an oil spill that reaches navigable waters
